Respawn Technologies Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Orbit mobile application (available on iOS and Android) and the website at useorbit.in. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices you have regarding your information.

By using Orbit, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: Your name, email address, and mobile phone number when you register or sign in.

Content you save: Links, screenshots, notes, and any other content you import or create within the app, including the orbits (groups) you create or join.

Device and technical information: Device type, operating system version (iOS or Android), app version, and basic crash/diagnostic data to help us keep the app stable.

Usage information: Features you use within the app (e.g. creating an orbit, importing a link) to help us improve the product. This data is aggregated and not linked to your identity for analytics purposes.

We do not collect precise location data, payment information, or browsing history outside the Orbit app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

— Create and manage your Orbit account
— Deliver one-time passcodes (OTPs) for phone number verification
— Operate core app features (saving, sharing within orbits)
— Send transactional service communications (e.g. account alerts)
— Diagnose and fix bugs and crashes
— Improve and develop new features
— Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information to serve you ads or sell it to data brokers.

3. SMS / One-Time Passcodes (OTP)

Orbit uses SMS exclusively to deliver one-time passcodes (OTPs) for account verification and login. By providing your phone number, you consent to receive a single SMS each time you request a verification code. We do not send marketing, promotional, or recurring messages via SMS.

Message frequency: One message per verification request only.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier SMS and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.

SMS delivery provider — MSG91: We use MSG91 (Walkover Web Solutions Pvt Ltd) as our SMS delivery provider. When you request an OTP, your phone number is transmitted to MSG91 solely for the purpose of delivering that message. MSG91 does not use your phone number for any other purpose. Your phone number is not shared with any third party for marketing purposes.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: We share information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate Orbit, including cloud infrastructure, SMS delivery (MSG91), and crash analytics. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us.

Other users in your orbits: Content you add to an orbit is visible to other members of that orbit. You control who is in your orbits.

Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Respawn Technologies, our users, or the public.

Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. OTP logs and associated phone numbers used for verification are deleted within 24 hours of delivery. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see Section 7).

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Objection: Object to certain types of processing.

8. iOS — Apple App Store

If you access Orbit through the Apple App Store, the following disclosures apply in relation to Apple's App Privacy requirements:

Data linked to you: Name, email address, phone number (for OTP verification).
Data used to track you: None. We do not use your data to track you across third-party apps or websites.
Data not linked to you: Crash data and app diagnostics (collected anonymously).
App permissions: Orbit may request access to your photo library or camera to allow you to save screenshots. This permission is entirely optional and you can use the app without granting it.

Apple Inc. is not a party to this Privacy Policy and is not responsible for the content or accuracy of this policy. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of our Terms of Use and may enforce those terms against you.

9. Android — Google Play Store

If you access Orbit through the Google Play Store, the following disclosures align with Google's Data Safety requirements:

Data collected: Name, email address, phone number (OTP verification only), and anonymised app diagnostics.
Data shared: Phone number is shared with MSG91 solely for OTP delivery. No other personal data is shared with third parties.
Data security: Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
App permissions: Orbit may request access to your photo library or camera for saving screenshots. This is optional.

Google LLC is not a party to this Privacy Policy and is not responsible for the content of this policy or Orbit's data practices beyond what is declared in the Google Play Data Safety section.

10. Children's Privacy

Orbit is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. 11. International Data Transfers

Orbit is operated from India. If you access the app from outside India, your information may be transferred to and processed in India or other countries where our service providers operate. By using Orbit, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 7 days before the change takes effect. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
